In addition, the author has brought the rogue playable class more in line with the rules of 5th Edition, such as toggle conditions for the sneak attack ability. Rogues Extra adds subclasses and cantrips that scale as the player character levels. With Baldur’s Gate 3 in early access, players need to keep up with the latest patches to the game to keep their mods functioning there’s no way around it. It tweaks the base class and two Player Handbook subclasses while also opening 3rd-level spells to all of them. This mod works with the official release of Sorcerer in Patch 6. The author has made adjustments to keep it relevant. ![]() Players used to be able to use this mod to unlock the playable sorcerer class earlier than release. Quality of life and interface mods aren’t the most exciting, but they often make the biggest impact on a player’s day-to-day enjoyment. Improved UI is a pack of tweaks and additional features for the user interface that improves the experience for mod authors and regular players alike. We are eagerly awaiting the full release of this game so the modding community can really get going. With the rapid update schedule, mods break and need updating frequently. But I think that approach might be better for a second playthrough once you know where the backdoors are.Keep in mind that Baldur’s Gate 3 is in early access. I like how there are multiple paths to success, including many back entrances that can be reached by jumping or stealth. Intimidation / Persuasion / Deception are too important and I feel the MC needs to be the face of the party for roleplaying reasons. Unfortunately I have a hard time justifying a first playthrough with a character who doesn't have charisma as a primary or secondary stat. Given how Larian has started tweaking the duration of other control effects I could see them modifying these abilities slightly as well. The second problem is harder, they peak at level 5 and then drop off as enemy saves improve and their ki actions don't scale as well as spells or features like sneak attack. I could see Larian addressing that since they already have a lot of custom magic items for different classes. Which is why most monks use a quarterstaff for a good portion of their career and builds like longbow monks are so popular. The first problem with the monk are that it lacks good item support in 5e to get both the offensive and defensive bonuses of other martial classes. Particularly the baseline Open Hand subclass. I'm already getting a good feeling from my high strength paladin leaping up onto ledges to reach archer or knocking enemies to their doom so I imagine a monk will feel similarly good. The game already emphasizes vertical movement and shove attacks, which are things the monk is naturally good at. ![]()
